Windows 7 in a  Windows 2003 Domain
Hi all: I joined my windows 7 PC to windows 7 domain. I had admin privilages on my pc and it was working. All of a sudden, I am no longer under local admin group and the local administrator account is disabled. I have no problem with windows XP. How can I fix this problem? I know these are to do with group policies. Thanks

You may remove the object from AD. Then boot in Safe Mode and you will be able to logon with the build-in Administrator account. Then add the domain account into the local admin group.Arthur Xie - MSFT

The admin account is disabled and I can't enable it. If i use another local admin account, it does not have the option to add a user from the domain to the admin group. It only looks at the local PC for accounts.

I know. It is disabled by default and you can log on with it in Safe Mode if you do not delete that account.Arthur Xie - MSFT
